About Avondale Originally started up by Gerald and Eileen Ball, joined by Louis Ball in 1970 and Graham Ball in 1973, Avondale has been a producer of high quality caravans for 37 years. The business has been family run ever since it was started and today following the retirement of Gerald and Eileen in 1991, Christopher Ball, their son, heads the company employing some 180 people. As well as touring caravans the company has been successfully involved in the development of several sites for static park homes and touring caravan parks throughout the country. The company still maintains ownership of Pathfinder Village in Exeter and Barton Broads Mobile Home Park in North Lincolnshire, both maintained exclusively for the retired and the semi-retired to enjoy the park home lifestyle.
Since the first Mayfly was produced in 1970 the company has been in pursuit of perfection ever since. Names such as Leda and Perle were some of the earlier models to be produced showing that Avondale was always one step ahead of the competition producing high quality caravans. The Sport was the start of a lightweight technological revolution followed by the Dart, which became the new base model range in 1998. More recently the company has produced the more contemporary designed Bianco proving the company's versatility with design.
The Rialto and Argente range were produced for families with caravanning experience in need of a luxury caravan without losing the value-for-money factor. The Avondale and Landranger Ranges have remained to this day the club class caravan. 2007 Line Up- The Dart - A lightweight base model for the occasional caravanning family.
