Allington Gardens

Allington Gardens is a community reserved exclusively for the retired or semi-retired. It offers rural peace and quiet but is situated only four miles from the delightful market town of Grantham. The Park is built on an open-plan level site, near the village of Allington, which has a post office, shop and public house only a short walk away. A doctor’s surgery is conveniently located on site and a resident manager ensures the smooth day-to-day running of the Park. Well behaved pets such as dogs and cats are allowed at the discretion of the Park manager. All homes have a parking lot or garage, either detached or lock-up.

SHOPPING AND AMENITIES

Grantham offers a wide range of shops, fine country houses, gardens open to the public, a museum and the Arena UK Multi-function Event Centre. Other local towns which provide opportunities for shopping, theatres, museums and sports are Nottingham, Leicester, Newark and Melton Mowbray, all less than 30 miles away. You will also be within easy reach, by car or local bus, of a variety of activities and local places of interest. For instance, the church at Norton Disney, north east of Newark, has a remarkable double-sided Disney brass depicting the 26 members of the Disney family, former Lords of the Manor, from whom Walt Disney descended. Wooden tablets in the same church honour members of 300 and 301 Polish RAF Squadrons killed on duty, whilst you can see one of the last huge Vulcan Bombers and many more historic aircraft at the nearby Newark Air Museum. Woolsthorpe Manor, near Colsterworth, south of Grantham, is where Sir Isaac Newton was born in 1642. An apple tree in the garden is said to be descended from the tree that prompted Newton to formulate his theory of The Law of Universal Gravitation.

“After looking around several Parks and homes we chose allington Gardens because of the superb deal we got on the purchase of our Park Home and the friendly expert advice from the on-site management”
