AVONDALE’S NEW LOOK RANGES AT THE NEC STAND NO. 4440
17th January 2005

Following the announcement that sales of its new 2005 range of twin-axle Land-Ranger and Club Class Avondale touring caravans has already exceeded the total sales for the whole of the previous model year, Avondale Coachcraft will be using its stand at the National Boat, Caravan and Outdoor Leisure Show at the NEC to promote these two brand new ranges and a long list of additional features for its popular 2005 Dart, Bianco and Argente models. Two 2005 award winners will also be on the stand: In the coveted Caravan Industry Tourer of the Year Awards, the Avondale Osprey was second overall in the ‘A Class Tourer over £15,000’ category; and in the Practical Caravan Tourer of the Year Awards, the Argente 650-6 was voted the winner in the ‘Best 5/6 Berth Family Tourer’ category. The completely redesigned club class Avondale ‘Bird’ range includes Avocet, Eagle and Osprey models featuring distinctive new exterior styling, elegant curved ‘apple wood’ furniture and attractive new fabrics, all of which create unrivalled ambience and club class comfort. The three models and five layouts in the 2005 range are: the 4-berth, fixed-bed Eagle, which is available with a choice of traditional straight or ‘L’ shaped lounge seating. Its rear bedroom features a transverse fixed bed and centre changing room, with toilet and separate lined shower cubicle; the 2-berth Avocet features a lounge, kitchen and spacious end washroom; and the 4-berth Osprey’s traditional side dinette end washroom layout boasts a spacious kitchen with ample work space, a choice of straight or ‘L’ shaped lounge seating and attractive end washroom. Specifications include FM radio/CD player, directional TV aerial, domestic style cooker, microwave oven, duvet cover & pillow cases on the fixed bed Eagle, loose fit carpets, remote control alarm system and fully sprung upholstery in a choice of ‘Fall’ or ‘Poppy’. There’s even a complementary set of glasses and two bottles of wine! The Land-Ranger, also brand new for 2005, reinforces its status as the definitive twin axle tourer and Avondale will be showing the new twin dinette layout, and a new fixed bed model. Both are equipped internally to the same standard as the new club class Avondales, to cater for the needs of couples and families. The 6400DD is the ideal family layout with front and rear dinettes providing ample accommodation for living and sleeping. The 6400EB will suit couples or families that prefer the convenience of a fixed bed. It features a separate dressing area complete with its own shower cubicle. Ends 420 words File: NEC 2005 – Preview
